No Arcade Mode!
I've followed the Soul Calibur series since the start and I'm sorry to say that although this is very nice graphically there is just one thing missing. What were the designers thinking, 'oh I know we shall make a game where the characters have no story mode to fight through. That will save us some time and get it on the shelves quickly'. I got my copy had it about a week and traded it in.
There may be a 'Huge roster of fighters' or 'unlimited character customisation' but it just does not make up for the missing elements. I never thought I would be dissapointed with a soul calibur game, yes it looks nice and plays nice but next time give us back an arcade mode and story mode. There is very little to keep anyone here for any length of time.

Soul Calibur - NO DESTINY!!
NO SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN.
What does this mean for the average player?
THERES NO CAMPAIGN TO START OR FINISH.
Meaning you could just play the game for five minutes and put it aside because THERES NOTHING TO DO.
Oh theres a "gauntlet" which basically teaches you how to play the game, but it states
at the start of the gauntlet that its not part of the Soul Calibur story.
Its like saying "ah this game doesn't matter really".

- You have Kratos
- The game looks good
- You have multiple characters and you can create characters of your own.
Cons
- You have Kratos, WHO HAS NO STORY AT ALL, he's just SHOWN UP and will HANG AROUND.
One of the most interesting story driven characters in gaming justs EXISTS in this game,
and fights people in quick matches.
- You have multiple characters AND NOTHING TO DO WITH THEM.
Just Quick matches, thats all.
Considering how much effort clearly went into the game how hard would it have been to add
a movie for each character which you see after beating 8 random characters.

this game is like the playstation game , it has extra characters to play with which are from other video games . This game can be link to another psp to battle together , for this to happen the other people need the game too. This psp title is good fun.

Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny
I am infact a huge fan of Soul Calibur and was excited at the release of this game.
I must say, I am dissapointed!
I can appreciate that this is a PSP game, therefore inferior to PS3, but this game is exceptionally boring; no story mode, simply arcade fighting.
God of War character Kratos is a playable character, yet with no backstory, is simply wasted.

Soul Calibur On PSP
This move to the PSP of a great series has so good thing and some bad things and I will talk about in my review.
The good points of this game are very few: -
The graphics are smooth and clear.
The Fighting is fluid and not much else is good yes you can do most things that you can in the game on the PS3
The Bad points are: -
No story mode and just trails it get a bit boring after a while I must admit to playing the game on the PS3 a lot more
and most of the other fighter you fight against aren't selcateable as they don't appear on the list of fighters.
I really feel this game has let down this set of games if Namco ever release another game like this for the PSP I don't think you can go far wrong with story modes Broken Destiny is not a good buy it may have Fluid movements and sharp graphics but so what that just beacuase the technonlgy has gotten better it makes no difference if the game is unplayeable or no fun.
I will say leave this game in the shop and stick with the PS3 number 4.
